Canopy Tours

In 2008, Canopy Tours began offering a unique opportunity for thrill seekers willing to pay a tidy sum for zipping through Hocking hills tree tops. Located just south of Rockbridge on the east side of SR33, and sharing the same offices as the Windy Hills Golf Course. The Canopy Tours are offered by a private company on private land, so casual spectators are not permitted to watch the overhead acrobatics.

The 3 hour adventure costs around $75 per person, which includes about 2 hours worth of zipping through a network of cables going from platform to platform over the Hocking River and fern-covered rock formations. Reservations are not required, but since they are often booked, it is strongly recommended to reserve your spot ahead of time. You don't need any special experience prior to your Canopy Tour experience: all necessary training will be provided by professionals that know what they're doing.

Zippers must weigh at least 70 pounds, but no more than 250 pounds, and be in good health. Closed-toe shoes are required. Children ages 10 - 15 must be accompanied by an adult. When aloft, participants are almost always attached to a safety cable except when switching off from one cable line to another.

Each group consists of 8 participants accompanied by professional guides that will lead the group along 10 zip lines and 4 sky bridges.
