Ohio Craft Museum & Gift Shop
The Ohio Craft Museum is a program of Ohio Designer Craftsmen that features 5 major exhibitions each year, as well as exhibits and a rotating displays of the permanent contemporary craft collection. The museum also houses the Craft Research Library and stages educational workshops and events for all ages and levels of experience. Ongoing funding for the museum is provided by the Ohio Arts Council and the Columbus Foundation.
Founded in 1963, Ohio Designer Craftsmen is a not-for-profit organization with over 2100 members that include craft artists, educators, students, and others who appreciate fine craft. Their stated mission is to promote the fine crafts aesthetic by establishing a standard of excellence, encouraging creative growth, providing professional support to craft artists, and building public awareness, appreciation and collection of fine craft. In support of this mission, Ohio Designer Craftsmen offers a wide range of exhibitions, publications, programs and artist services.
Gift Shop
The Ohio Craft Museum Gift Shop features a beautiful selection of hand-made silk scarves, sterling silver and Swarovski crystal jewelry, glass flowers, paper weights and perfume bottles, ceramic vases and cookware, ribbon flower brooches, note cards and more, all created by American artists and suitably priced for giving.
The Ohio Craft Museum is located on West Fifth Avenue in in the Grandview Heights area. The museum is free and open to the public.
